Elizabeth B. Splaine, author of adult and YA novels, takes her first dip into the world children's picture books. It's a grand success. Tyrone, the mouse who lives below an opera house and aches to sing on its stage, is a portrait of sweet confidence and determination. With the encouragement of his friends Stella the cat and a mutt named Oscar, he works toward his goal.

Mariia Stepanova's illustrations are marvelous.

A perfect gift for the child in your family, or for yourself, if you are a child at heart. I bought one for my grandson, and another for my own bookshelf.
